About Us

Leading the Way in Sustainable Plastic Waste Management

The Punjab Plastic Waste Management Society (PPWMS) is a not for profit organization registered under the societies registration Act (XXI of 1860) . The society is also registered under section 12A of the income Tax act 1960. Established on October 2, 2018, PPWMS works closely with the Punjab Pollution Control Board and major FMCG companies to mitigate the environmental impact of plastic waste.

Key initiatives include:

  • Conducting workshops and seminars to educate the community about plastic waste management.
  • Facilitating efficient processing and recycling of multi-layered, rigid, and flexible plastics.
  • Coordinated efforts with the Punjab Pollution Control Board for effective waste management.

Since 2018, PPWMS has significantly supported in plastic waste management, by facilitating collection & processing of a total of 23,592 MT of MLP waste by 2022. In FY 2022-23 alone, we helped in managing 2,461 MT of rigid waste, 6,901 MT of flexible waste, and 2,947 MT of MLP waste. Our efforts are intented to ensure a cleaner & greener Punjab through efficient waste management practices.
